Is Megan a real person?
Megan is our AI recruiter. A few short questions and your appointment is booked straight away, any time of day. Everything after that is with real people at your local office.
What do Ginger Promotions do?
We're an outsourced sales and fundraising company. Since 2012 we've run face-to-face campaigns for leading charities and brands, from five offices across the UK and US.
Am I employed or self-employed?
Self-employed. You invoice for the days you work and look after your own tax and National Insurance. We walk you through it before you start.
How do I get paid?
You earn commissions on the supporters or customers you sign up, so you're paid on what you achieve and rewarded for performance. Brand Ambassadors average £400 to £700 a week, and top performers earn incentives and trips. These are averages, not guarantees: what you earn depends on your results.
Do I need sales experience?
No. Most people start with none. What matters is that you enjoy talking to people, can take a no, and want to be coached.
Is this a pyramid scheme?
No. You never pay to join, buy stock or pay for training. Your income comes from the campaigns you work on for our clients.
Where will I work?
You meet your team at your local office, then travel to that day's campaign location: shopping centres, high streets, events, festivals or residential areas.
What are the hours?
Depending on the campaign you're working on, days run either 8:30am to 6:30pm or 11am to 8pm. Campaigns run Monday to Saturday, and during your chat we'll ask how many days a week you can commit to.
What happens at the appointment?
A 30-minute group Zoom with our Recruitment Manager, followed by a one-to-one call. Have your camera on, find somewhere quiet and get Zoom ready on your phone or laptop. Your confirmation arrives by text and email, so check your junk folder too.
When could I start?
We usually look for people who can start within the next two weeks. If you have a notice period, just tell us during your chat.
Who can apply?
You need to be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK. No experience or qualifications needed.
